Justice, Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion (JEDI) Peer Network

DATE:  Wednesday, April 5, 2023
TIME:  Noon - 1:15pm

We all support Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. The vexing question is how to operationalize it in our workforce and how it results in optimum quality measures and patient outcomes? We can grapple with these questions together.

Additionally, this idea aligns with CPCA's JEDI strategies that includes internal (CPCA staff) and external (CPCA members) initiatives that support California's community health centers and consortia commitment to create health equity. Participants in this peer network will share resources, discuss initiatives regarding JEDI practices, policies, cultural competence, organizational barriers, challenges, opportunities, and best practices.

MEETING OBJECTIVES

  • Discuss how this JEDI peer network could support your internal/external policies and practices that create a culture of belonging, equity, inclusion, and justice. What outcomes would you expect of this peer network?
  • Determine what structures (meeting frequency, meeting duration, procedures, practices) would best optimize attendance, participation, learning, and sustainability.

CPCA provides training and education to community health centers for general illustration and instructional purposes. As an anti-racist organization, we are committed to providing educational opportunities that are unbiased and meet the fullest standards for cultural and linguistic competency for both accredited and non-accredited events. To that end, our Association intends to be in full compliance with the intent of AB 241 Implicit Bias in continuing education and AB 1195 Continuing Education: cultural and linguistic competency. Please read through the text of these bills to understand the intent of the legislature, now codified as California Business and Professions Code 2190.1.
