CPCA 2022 Compensation & Benefits Survey

2022 CPCA Comp. & Benefits Survey on Biteable.

The Compensation & Benefits Survey is conducted annually online to collect detailed information on compensation structures for executive, clinical, and administrative positions for California’s primary care community health centers (CHC).

Participation in CPCA’s survey is crucial to ensure clinics across the state have access to a shared resource reflective of market trends while also providing a tool that strengthens a clinic’s recruitment and retention. CPCA's Compensation & Benefits Survey report offers teams a legal way to review salary and benefits information that is uniquely reflective of the healthcare industry. Additionally, the survey results provide an invaluable resource for health centers to benchmark compensation and benefits against other health care employers, including large hospitals.

Please visit CPCA’s Compensation & Benefits Survey Resource Portal for additional instructions on how to submit responses or participate in upcoming office hours.

Changes to Survey In Response to Health Center Feedback

  • Inflation Implications on Compensation Planning:

High levels of inflation and a tight labor market has drastically altered the recruitment and retention strategies leveraged by health centers. Therefore, our 2022 report will provide compensation strategy insights health centers have implemented or are planning to implement in response to inflation pressures.

  • Enhanced HR Analytics:

The pandemic has brought on additional responsibilities to HR teams which is evolving the function of HR staff. Our survey will capture insights on the expanded functions HR teams are performing to provide clinics with a picture on how their peers structure their departments.

  • New Positions and redefined job descriptions:

Thank you to those who volunteered their time support to provide additional feedback on the survey design, missing positions, and workgroup recommendations. The list of new positions will be outlined in our webinar.

  • Easier Submission process

To streamline the participation process, teams who participated in CPCA’s 2021 survey will notice their 2021 policy & benefits responses have been prepopulated to the online questionnaire. Additionally, we eliminated 30 Survey Questions tied to Executive Tenure and will allow teams to import the compensation data from their HRIS onto our uploads
